Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha as you travel toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the scenic journey through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin your first game drive while heading toward your accommodation.

The Serengeti is famous for its enormous open plains and abundant wildlife. Depending on the location of the migration, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra along the way. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the evening, enjoy dinner, and relax beneath the African night sky.

Day 2: Full Day Great Wildebeest Migration Experience

After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in search of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Your experienced safari guide will follow the latest wildlife movements to maximize your chances of finding the herds. Watch thousands of wildebeest and zebra moving across the Serengeti plains in search of fresh grazing and water.

The migration also attracts large numbers of predators, creating opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive through the afternoon.

Day 3: Full Day Migration & Wildlife Safari

Spend another full day exploring the Serengeti and following the migration. Your safari guide will take you to areas where the herds are currently concentrated. Depending on the season, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebra moving together across the plains or gathering around rivers and water sources.

This is also an excellent opportunity to observe the predators that follow the migration. Keep your camera ready for dramatic wildlife encounters and spectacular African landscapes.

Day 4: Migration Safari & Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, taking advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is particularly active.

Continue exploring areas where the wildebeest herds are moving, with opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebras, and other wildlife.

Later, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the Serengeti plains toward the highlands. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the evening and relax after an exciting day in the wilderness.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a final morning game drive.

The crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before beginning your journey back to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon, marking the end of your 5 Days Great Wildebeest Migration Safari in Tanzania.
