Day 1 – Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or pickup from your hotel, you will be warmly welcomed by a professional guide from Zuri Nana Safaris. After a short introduction and safari briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax after your journey or choose an optional city experience such as visiting local attractions, markets, or cultural centers.

This first day is designed to give you time to unwind and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi and begin your scenic drive through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, one of Africa’s most impressive geological features. You will stop at a viewpoint to capture photos and enjoy panoramic views of the valley below. Continue your journey to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat safari where you may see hippos and a variety of bird species, including fish eagles. You also have the option to visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among wildlife.

Day 3 – Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a renowned wildlife sanctuary known for its diverse ecosystems and rich birdlife. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park’s acacia woodlands and grasslands. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos and is also one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos.

During your safari, you may also spot lions, leopards, buffalo, and Rothschild giraffes. The park offers excellent photography opportunities with its scenic landscapes and abundant wildlife.

Day 4 – Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

In the afternoon, head out for an exciting game drive across the vast savannah plains, where you will begin to experience the incredible wildlife diversity of the Maasai Mara. Enjoy a beautiful sunset as you return to your lodge.

Day 5 – Full Day Maasai Mara Safari

Spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. You will embark on extended game drives in search of the Big Five lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino as well as many other species. Visit the Mara River, a key wildlife hotspot where dramatic interactions often occur.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the reserve surrounded by nature, then continue your safari adventure. You may also opt for a Maasai cultural visit to learn about their traditions and lifestyle.
