Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha.

Depending on your arrival time, relax at your lodge or explore the beautiful surroundings before attending an evening safari briefing. Your guide will introduce you to the upcoming adventure, explain the itinerary, discuss wildlife expectations, and answer any questions before your safari begins.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s finest wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees, permanent river, and large elephant populations.

Enjoy a full day game drive through diverse landscapes while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and more than 500 bird species. During the dry season, wildlife gathers around the Tarangire River, creating exceptional game viewing opportunities. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast, drive to the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse park famous for its lush forests, alkaline lake, and spectacular birdlife.

Explore the park’s varied habitats, including groundwater forests, open grasslands, and lakeshore environments. Search for elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons, blue monkeys, buffaloes, zebras, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.  After a picnic lunch, continue your afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge near the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Highlands – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, journey through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the world famous Serengeti National Park.

As you enter the Serengeti, your afternoon game drive begins. Explore the endless plains while searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and countless antelope species. Depending on the season, witness the incredible Great Migration. Arrive at your safari camp before sunset and enjoy dinner beneath the African sky.

Day 5: Full Day Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day exploring different regions of Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to observe lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and countless other wildlife species. Your guide will share fascinating insights into the Serengeti ecosystem and the behavior of its remarkable animals.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park before continuing your afternoon safari. Guests may also choose an optional sunrise hot air balloon safari, followed by a champagne breakfast overlooking the Serengeti plains.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast when predators are most active and wildlife is beginning its day. Following breakfast, depart Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, continuing to enjoy wildlife sightings during the scenic drive.

Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim in the afternoon and relax while taking in breathtaking views of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Departure

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino. This remarkable ecosystem offers one of the best opportunities in Tanzania to complete your Big Five sightings.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending the crater and beginning your return journey to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight or to your hotel if you have arranged additional accommodation.
