Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi as you drive into the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Naivasha. Along the way, you will stop at a scenic viewpoint to admire the breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, check into your lodge or resort and enjoy lunch with views of the lake. In the afternoon, take a relaxing boat ride where you can see hippos and a variety of bird species up close. You may also visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Day 2: Full Day at Lake Naivasha

Spend a full day enjoying activities around Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, you can take another boat excursion or explore nearby attractions such as Hell’s Gate National Park, where you can walk or cycle among wildlife. The area is known for its dramatic cliffs, geothermal activity, and unique scenery. Lunch can be enjoyed at your lodge or during your excursion. Day 3: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a short drive through the Rift Valley. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos (seasonal) and is a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. You may also spot lions, buffaloes, giraffes, and a variety of birdlife. The park’s landscapes include woodlands, grasslands, and the alkaline lake itself.

Day 4: Full Day in Lake Nakuru National Park

Spend a full day exploring Lake Nakuru National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, especially for rhinos and birdlife. You will visit different areas of the park, including viewpoints overlooking the lake and forests where leopards are sometimes spotted. A picnic lunch in the park allows you to maximize your time in nature. The diverse habitats make this park one of Kenya’s most rewarding safari destinations. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha (Relaxation Day)

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru National Park and return to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing day. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to unwind by the lake, enjoy spa services (depending on your lodge), or take optional short excursions. This day provides a perfect balance after the game drives in Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way with optional stops for photos. This short yet rewarding journey leaves you with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s lakes, wildlife, and landscapes.
